VALLEY -- Mr. Charlie E. Beck, 92, of Valley, died Monday at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Graveside services are scheduled for today at 11 a.m. at Fairfax Cemetry with the Rev. Donald Rice, Officiating.
Mr. Beck is survived by two daughters, Faye Senn of Montgomery, and Peggy Smith of Alexander City; five sons, C. V. Beck, Napolean Beck, Colen Beck all of Fairfax, Tony Beck of Beulah, and Courtney Beck of Lanett; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A native of Floyd County, Ga., Mr. Beck was a member of Fairfax First Christian Church and American Legion. He was a veteran of World War 1, where he served with the United States Army. He was a retitred employee of Fairfax Mill with over 30 years of service with the company.
Flowrs will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7-9 at Johnson Brwon-Servide Funeral Home in Valley.
Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley is handling arrangements.
