Mrs. Clara Selby, wife of Mr. Jesse Albaugh, of East Main street, died
at her residence in this city, on Saturday. February 7. 1914, after a lingering
illness of heart trouble. She had been confined to the house for some time,
and her death was rather sudden, although she had been suffering very much
at times. Mr. and Mrs. Albaugh moved to this city from the farm in Franklin
district and have resided on East Main street since coming here.
Mrs. Albaugh was the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John N. Selby, and is survived by her husband and one daughter,
Miss Dorothy Albaugh. at home, three brothers and three sisters. Funeral
services were held at the home on Tuesday morning conducted by Rev. Smith
H. Orrick, of the Episcopal church, after which her remains were taken to Taylorsville M. E. church. where the interment was private in the cemetery. The
nephews were the pallbearers: Dr. B. F. Selby, Dr. Gilbert Selby, Howard Selby,
Harry Selby, Lloyd Selby and Geo. E. Selby. F. C. Sharrer. funeral director.
