Friday, 9 Dec 1921, Vol 35, No 34--J. W. ALEXANDER DEAD--John W. Alexander, for many years a resident of Moberly died at the state hospital at Fulton last night. The body is to be brought here on Friday for burial. Mr. Alexander, who was about 65 years old, was well known in this city and at Yates, his former home. He is survived by his wife and one son in this city. He had been a patient at the state institution for only a short time. The deceased is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Clara Stark of Yates; Mrs. Betty Stark of Mt. Airy and Mrs. Kirkpatrick of Clifton. One brother, Will, resides at Roanoke. The funeral is to be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the chapel of Mahan & Son, conducted by the Rev. E. V. Lamb. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
