Mrs. Kate Kirkpatrick Dies in Denver
Funeral Services of Mrs. Kirkpatrick, a Former Huntsville Lady, Was Held at Roanoke, Sunday

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Kate Kirkpatrick at the Roanoke Cemetery Sunday afternoon, August 1. The services were conducted by Dr. W.I. Ferguson, of Marshall, Mo.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick was born April 2, 1864, on a farm near Yates, Mo., and passed away July 26, 1943, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Mason of Denver, Colo.

Her husband preceded her in death about 45 years ago. To this union four children were born: Juanita Hume, and John Kirkpatrick, deceased. She is survived by Alex Kirkpatrick of Plant City, Florida, and Kathryn Mason of Denver, Colo., nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She lived in this community until about 20 years ago, when she moved with her daughter and grandchildren, John and Mary Kate Summers, who were very affectionate and saw to the welfare of their grandmother.

A noble woman has passed on, leaving a host of friends to mourn her departure. The following relatives attended the funeral Sunday of Mrs. Kate Kirkpatrick: Miss Mary Kate Summers, granddaughter of Mrs. Kirkpatrick; and Mr. George Mason, son-in-law, both of Denver, Colorado; and a niece, Mrs. R.C. Robb, and daughter, Margaret Robb of Liberty, Mo.; also a niece, Mrs. J.A. Lockridge and husband of Yates community.

Mrs. Kate Kirkpatrick formerly lived in Huntsville. She and family lived in the residence property now owned by Dr. Johnston and wife on Library street. Mrs. Kirkpatrick had this home built where she and family lived and owned.
