A. C. Scott, 5.., prominent commission man, formerly the joint owner of the Grand Island Horse and Mule Company, a concern which did one of the most extensive buying of livestock in the world, died at his home, 1122 West Division street Sunday after ...following an illness which had troubled him since early. . . Since . . . Mr. Scott had been in . . .in the Grand Island Horse and Mule Company and served as its president until a few weeks ago when he disposed of his interest to his partner, John Torpey. He brought his family to Grand Island in 1914? where all have made their. Mr. Scott was a vestryman in the St. Stephens church and has been very active and consistent member. He had a wide circle of friends.
Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Mrs. George Morris and Miss Elizabeth Scott; one son, Arthur Clyde Jr.; five sisters and four brothers. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the St. Stephens Church, the Rev. Arthur F. Roebuck officiating. Burial was in the Grand Island cemetery.
