"Stewart Atherton of Railroad street, an old resident of Canisteo, died suddenly in the night Monday from a stroke. He had been in poor health for several weeks. Mrs. Atherton was with him.

He leaves his wife and three children, Harry J. Atherton of Elmira, Mrs. Will Carrier of Binghamton and Mrs. Lulu Walbrick of Hornell; one brother, William Atherton of Elkland, Pa.; and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Sharp of Howard; Mrs. Florence Barkalow of Hornell and Mrs. Ward Riley of Lenapuh, Okla."
