He was born Dec. 29, 1824, and came from Howard to this village about 35 years ago. He is survived by his wife, two sons and four daughters: Stewart, Miss Anna and Florence, wife of L. Barkalow, of this village; William and Mrs. M. Blakeslee of Hornellsville; and Mrs. Frank L. Sharp of Howard.
The funeral was held last Monday afternoon from the house, Rev. L. P. Eburston officiating. Interment in Hillside Cemetery." Canisteo New York Times, August 1899
