Requiem mass for Mrs Nora Leete, widow of the late George W Leete, Stutsman county pioneers, was held at St John's Catholic Church at Kensal Wednesday morning with Father Aloysius Gallagher saying the requiem mass.

Mrs Leete died Saturday in Claude Miller Hospital in St Paul, MN after a short illness from pneumonia. She had gone to St. Paul to spend the winter with her relatives. Dr and Mrs W.E. Longstreth, Kensal, ND and Fred W Leete, Trona, CA were with Mrs Leete when she passed away.

Mrs Leete was born Nora Moran July 8, 1863, in Belford, Ireland to John and Mary Moran, and came to the United States with her family in 1866. Their home was established in Eyota, Minnesota, where her girlhood was spent and where she attended school. Her marriage to George Leete took place June 21, 1885, and the early years of their married life was spent in Luverne, MN, where they had two children, Mary and Fred. In June 1905, the family moved to Kensal, ND to reside and this has been their continuous home since then.

Burial was made in the Kensal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter, Arthur, and George Brewer, J.D. Schlecht, F.J. Schieb and Ferdinand Wolsky.

Survivors are her daughter, Mrs W.E. Longstreth (Mary), Kensal; a son Fred W Leete, Trona, CA; one brother, Thomas Moran, Waseca, MN. There are six grandchildren, Eldon, Gordon, Ione Longstreth, John W Leete, Harriette Leete Burns and Mary Leete Hilton and four great-grandchildren, Judith Ann and Larry E Longstreth, and Harriet and Guy Hilton.

(She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Patrick Moran; four sisters, Delia Brewer, Mary Sherman, Sarah Siewert, and Ann McCarron.)
