Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 2 from Oakland Church of Christ in West Lauderdale Couty for Mrs. Ella Mae High 73, of Florence Rt 2 who died suddenly of a heart attack Monday at 1:30 p.m. while visiting a niece at Ford City in Colbert County. A.D. Behel minister of the Oakland church officiated. Burial was in Sherrod Valley cemetery with Chisholm Funeral home directing.
A native and lifelong resident of Lauderdale County, Mrs. High resided in the Rhodesville community for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Claude Morrison, Florence, a son Hulet High and two sisters Mrs. Lizzie Palmer, and Mrs. Will Wesson, all of Florence Rt 2 two brothers Willie Brewer Florence and Jim Brewer Marked Tree Ark, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
The bears were Pat Richards, Howard Maxwell, and Rufus Rhodes.
