Samuel A. "Dick" Allen, 73, died Feb. 2 at Chatham Nursing Home.
He was born in Statesboro and lived in Savannah the past 45 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He was owner of Allen Distributing Co. for 20 years and also retired from American Cyanamid Co.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Sylvia J. Allen of Savannah; five sons, Dennis M. Allen of Augusta and Danny C., Richard W., Samuel K. and Robert L. Allen, all of Savannah; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11 a.m. Thursday in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
REMEMBRANCES: American Cancer Society.
