Lovin O. Allen, 77, died Saturday at Candler County Hospital in Metter after a short illness. He was a life-long resident of Bulloch County and a retired carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Corine Allen of Statesboro; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Dell Bailey of Statesboro; a son, Dick Allen of Savannah; two brothers, Jim Allen of Jacksonville, Fla., and Levy Allen of Metter; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today at 4 p.m. at Barnes-Hodges Funeral Home in Statesboro, with burial in Middleground Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
