RANCHER, April 24, 1905.
Today comes the sad news of the death of Herman J. Eldering, the two-year-old boy of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Eldering of this place. For two weeks past the little one had suffered from an attack of pneumonia. Everything possible was done to relieve the little suffered but all in vain. He expired at 9:30 this morning.
God's will is good. He knows what would be best. We will not weep thee; darling, any more;
We have not wept thee; though our hearts, opprest with many memories, for thy sake is sore.
God's will is good and great His wisdom is. Thou wast a little star and thou didst shine
Within the cradle; but thou wast not mine. Thou wast not mine, my darling, thou art His.
The bereaved parents and relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of their many friends. The funeral will be held in the cemetery at ten o'clock a.m. tomorrow. Rev. Schermerhorn of Billings will officiate.

The young boy, Herman, was buried in the Lower Pease Bottom Cemetery.
Because of encroachment of the Yellowstone River, his remains were moved by Jim Grierson and Herman Eldering, Sr. to the upper cemetery, about 1916. In the lower cemetery in Pease Bottom were buried some of the early settlers or members of their families.
