Mary Hanna of Mesquite, TX peacefully ended her battle with Congestive Heart Failure on Saturday evening in the hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Whitney, TX. Moving to Waxahachie, TX where she met her soul mate. On July 6, 1956, she married Johnnie and settled their home in Mesquite, TX. During the 1980's she was known to others as a "Square Dancer". She was a member of West Mesquite Baptist Church for over 35 years where she served the Lord in many ways.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend and an inspiration to all who knew her. After winning the war with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 1996 and again in 1999, she was a great prayer warrior and truly a blessing to all she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her two brothers Bobby L. Simon and Charles Ray Gary.

She is survived by her husband Johnnie Hanna Sr.; son Johnnie (Skip) Hanna Jr. and wife Rebecca of Balch Springs, TX; daughter Terri J Burk and husband Rickey Burk of Mesquite,TX; son Kevin Hanna and wife Tanya of Mesquite,TX. Grandchildren Christa Burk of Irving, TX; Carisa Burk of Dallas,TX; Jesse Hanna of Balch Springs,TX; Andrew Pelfrey of Arlington,TX; Autumn Pelfrey of Arlington,TX. Great grandchildren are Melissa Paige Galan of Wylie, TX and Ryan Creed Royal of Irving, TX. Sisters include Gwendolyn Eubank of Whitney, TX and Dorothy Carr of Caddo Mills, TX and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
