J. Donald Eppley, 57, of 800 W. South St., died Friday afternoon at his home.
Mr. Eppley was born June 19, 1918 in Carlisle, and was a graduate of Carlisle High School, class of 1936.
A former photographer with a studio on West High Street, he was the owner of several self-service laundries. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific operation. He was a member and past president of the Carlisle Kiwanis Club, the American Legion, Post 101, and the VFW 477.
Surviving are his widow, Catherine Fox Eppley; three sons, J. Donald, Houston, Texas; John F., 8 Gobin St., and R. Scott, 500 N. Pitt St., a brother, George S. Myerstown and four grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., with the Rev. James J. Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Association, Harrisburg.
