William C. "Jack" McDaniel was born November 20, 1921 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Ida Willie and Josie Lee McDaniel and passed away May 29, 1998 in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 9 days. Jack married Joyce K. Leggitt on June 9, 1946 in Sayre, OK. He entered the U.S. Army in August of 1942 and served as a Staff Sergent with the 9th Air Force. He was a Crytographic Technician serving over 2 years in foreign service of a 3 1/2 year tour of duty before the end of WW II. Jack was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church of Crawford. He was active in ranching and operating his own dairy business for many years in the Crawford Community. He also worked several years for Roger Mills County. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Bobbie Lee, and 1 sister, Dovie Felder, 2 nephews, Doug and Steve Dollar and 1 niece, Barbara Felder. He is survived by his wife, Kate of the home; 1 daughter, Vickie Clark of Oklahoma City, OK; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Linda McDaniel of Reydon, OK; 4 grandchildren, Joseph, Thomas, Jimmy and Jennifer; 1 brother, Leonard McDaniel and wife, Margie of Durham, OK; 1 sister, Billie Dollar and husband, Everett, of Ruidoso, NM as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Interment followed in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
