Jack Lucas was born September 21, 1909 at Durham and lived all his life in the Durham and Crawford communities. He was married to Ethel Simpson, October 23, 1932 in Crawford. He was a member of the Baptist Church 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and a son.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel, of the home, Route 1, Crawford; a daughter, Mary Carpenter, Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, one great grandchild; a brother, Fred Lucas of Cheyenne; three sisters, Elsie Jones, Hallie Hanawalt and Nena Cannon, all of Cheyenne.
Memorial services for Jack Lucas, 71, were Sunday, Appil 5, 1981 in the Crawford Magnolia Baptist Church. Officiating are Rev. A.L. Martin and Clyde Denny. He died Friday in the Roger Mills Memorial hospital following a lenghy illness.
Burial will be in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with the Rose Chapel Funeral Service in charge of arrangement.
