Gerald G. Pickering, 62, of Vestal, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 21,2009, at the Ideal Senior living Center.

He was predeceased by his father, Melvin and mother, Reba.

He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Donald Huling, Vestal; three nephews, Donald Huling, Vestal, Thomas Huling, Rockport, ME, and Jonathan Huling,Plattsburgh, NY; one niece, Tamara Huling and Matthew Macinski, Endicott; and a great niece and nephew, Madison and Marcus Macinski.

Jake was a member of the Endwell Churches of Christ in Christian Union. He had many friends that he enjoyed being with especially at Chris' Diner and with the members of his church.

A funeral for Jake will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home Inc., 765 Main St., Vestal, NY. His Pastor, the Rev. Arthur Penird, will officiate. Burial will be in the Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions in Jake's memory, to the Jake Pickering Memorial Fund at the Endwell Churches of Christ in Christian Union, 3577 Smith Drive, Endwell, NY 13760.
