Mrs. Charles E. Bower Sr.
LOCK HAVEN -- Mrs. Nettie Mae Bower, 83, died at her home, 45 1/2 Bellefonte Ave., at 8 a.m. today. She had been ill a year, suffering from a series of strokes.
Born Jan. 10, 1890, at Rote, she was married to Charles E. Bower Sr., whose death occurred on Christmas Day, 1954. The family had lived in Lock Haven 50 years.
Surviving are the following children: Miss Marion L. Bower, and Charles E., at home; Dale, of Williamsport; Raymond, Lock Haven; Mrs. Nevin Myers, of Flemington; and Mrs. Harry Bailey, Williamsport. There are 26 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Two brothers surviving are Charles Donahay, Dunnstown; and Roy D., of Lock Haven.

BOWER -- Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Helt Funeral Home for Mrs. Nettie Mae Bower, 83, widow of Charles E. Bower Sr. She died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 1973 at her home, 45 1/2 Bellefonte Ave., Lock Haven. The Rev. Allen J. Alexander will officiate. Interment, Dunnstown Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
