A. Amen Rites Set On Sunday

Services for Mrs. Arthur (Alma) Amen, 72, 1324 Elm Ave., Norfolk, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Congregational Church. Mike Wagner, Nebraska Christian College student who serves as pastor of the church, will officiate, and burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Howser Mortuary.
Mrs. Amen died Wednesday morning at a Norfolk hospital. She was born Nov. 16, 1902 at Odessa, Wash., to Mr. and Mrs. John Schafer, and married Arthur Amen Dec 28, 1930 at Odessa. They moved to the Norfolk area that same year and farmed eight miles north of the city for a number of years. They moved into Norfolk about ten years ago.
Mrs. Amen is survived by her husband, two sons, Delbert and Kenneth, both of Route 3, Norfolk, 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and four sisters, Mrs. Anna Amen, and Mrs. Elizabeth Walters, both of Odessa, Wash., Mrs. Amelia Ramsey of Wanatchee, Wash., and Mrs. Martha Cordes of Spokane, Wash.
Mrs. Amen was preceded in death by one daughter, one sister and two brothers.
