Mrs. Mary Barnett of 339 Sheeley Street, Steele, died December 21, 1979, at Doctors Hospital, Poplar Bluff. She was born Sepember 18, 1892, in Henderson, Tenn.
Mrs. Barnett was married to Coleman Barnett February 9, 1911 in Cooter, Mo. He preceded her in death December 31, 1921.
Services for Mrs. Barnett were held at German-Aumon Funeral Home chapel in Steele Sunday, December 23, 1979, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Paul York conducted the service.
Mrs. Barnett leaves four sons, J.D. Barnett of Earle, Ark.; Olton Barnett of Poplar Bluff; Loyd Barnett, and Hobert Barnett of Indiana; and Coleman Barnett of San Jose Calif.; two daughters, Doris Price and Christine Gitchell, both of Doniphan, Mo. She also leaves two sisters, Zelma Bishop of Steele and Ruth O'Kin of Indianapolis, Ind., nineteen grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tommy German, Joe Saliba, Howard Smith, Bob Garrett, Clarence Poteet, and Herbert Ketchum.
Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery, Steele, and arrangements were by German-Aumon Funeral Home, Steele.
