Born March 2, 1928, in Walnut Grove, she was the widow of James Walter Addison and daughter of the late Mack Roy Floyd Sr. and Patra (Grant) Floyd.
Mrs. Addison was a former member of Unity Baptist Church and attended WestSide Baptist Church. She was formerly employed with Smith Outz Drug Store, Hartness Bottling Company, and was a biscuit maker at Hardees in Roebuck.
Surviving are her daughters, Judy Lydia and husband Ronald of Spartanburg, SC, and Becky Pollard and husband Jimmy of Boiling Springs, SC; four grandchildren, Dawn Fortner, Rhonda Powell, Heather Bastain, and Julia Pye; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brothers, Curtis Floyd of Spartanburg, SC, and Marvin L. Floyd of Boiling Springs, SC; and a sister, Joy Lanford of Woodruff, SC.
She was predeceased by her sons, James Walter Addison Jr. and Terry "Pete" Lynn Addison; brothers, Mack Floyd Jr., Ansel Floyd, Rufus Floyd, and Ray Floyd; and sisters, Patricia Smith and Freda Barnett.
Visitation was 6:00-8:30 PM Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at WestSide Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 6, 2012, at WestSide Baptist Church, by the Rev. Dr. G. Eddie Burris, the Rev. Ronald Lydia, and the Rev. Brian McCall. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park.
Memorials could be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 110 Dillon Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
