James Walter Addison, Jr., age 26, of Spartanburg, SC, died early Sunday, May 6, 1979, at Spartanburg General Hospital due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A native of Spartanburg County; son of James Walter Addison, Sr. (1911–1979) and Grace Floyd Addison (1928–2012); husband of Debbie Watson Addison.

A member of Temple Methodist Church; employed by Inman Mills; member of Spartanburg Umpire Association.

Also survived by his sisters, Judy A. Lydia and Becky A. Rogers; and brother, Terry Lynn "Pete" Addison (1955–2007).

Services were held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel by Rev. Harry McAbee and Rev. William Taylor; burial in Sunset Memorial Park.

Family received friends from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Monday, May 7, 1979, at the funeral home chapel.
