Isabelle Boone, 86, of Elizabethtown, and formerly of Oreland, died Monday July 30, 2012.
Born in Greensburg, she was the daughter of the late William Ralph and Isabelle Grace (Boettner) Johnston.
Isabelle worked as a Registered Nurse in Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia.
When she retired, they moved to Ocala, Florida until 1998.
Isabelle and Bill returned to the Lancaster area and resided at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown for the past 14 years.
She worshiped at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel at.
Isabelle enjoyed bowling, billiards, playing cards with her friends, cooking, and gardening.
Her grandchildren thought she was the best cook.
Isabelle had fond memories of camping with family and friends throughout her life traveling to many corners of the world.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Wilkerson "Bill" Boone who died in 2011; and, her sister: Jayne Allen.
Isabelle is survived by her daughters: Linda Diane, wife of James N. McCullough of Port Angeles, Washington and Sandy, wife of Roger E. Banko of Preston, Maryland; her three grandchildren; her twin sister: Patricia Johnston of Lititz; and, her nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Memorial Service in the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, at Masonic Village of Elizabethtown on Saturday September 08, 2012 at 11:00 AM. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery and will be private.
