Orangeburg - Lindbergh Headden, 76, of 3274 Hart St., Orangeburg, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Columbia Road Church of God in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Edward Tager and the Rev. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the services. Active pallbearers will be Travis Birchmore, Traywick Birchmore, Dan Headden, Jamie Davis, Edward Roe and Ronnie Craven. Honorary pallbearers will be W. T. Murden III, Douglas Murden, Benjamin Headden, Andrea Davis, Shanna Davis, Christeen Padgett, Stephanie Roe, Gracie Lowe, Dr. J.Y. White, Paul Birchmore and John Birchmore. Mr. Headden was born July 23, 1928, in Walterboro, a son of the late Kenneth E. Headden and the late Gracie Craven Headden. He was a member of Columbia Road Church of God and a member of the Men's Bible Class. He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Headden, and stepfather, King Daniel Headden. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Laudine Cooper Headden of Orangeburg; four daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Dave Lowe of Phoenix, Ariz., Linda and Ed Birchmore of Orangeburg, Brenda and Steve Padgett of Neeses and Becky Headden of Columbia; two half-brothers, Ernest Headden and Eddie Headden, both of Orangeburg; two half-sisters, Robin Allen of Florida and Azalea Olson of Beaufort; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and man's best friends, Goldie and Nabi. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. inOrangeburg. Friends may call at the residence, 3274 Hart St., Orangeburg, and at the funeral home.
