DENMARK - Mrs. Mills Abercrombie Ashcraft, 66, wife of W. M. Ashcraft Sr., died Tuesday in an Orangeburg hospital of injuries received in an automobile accident early Tuesday.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at the Bethel Park Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Denmark Cemetery, directed by Small Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ashcraft was born in Laurens County, a daughter of the late Kistler Abercrombie and Lola Peterson Abercrombie. She was a 1926 graduate of Winthrop College and a retired school teacher. She was a member of Bethel Park Methodist Church, where she was active in the WSCS and the William Herbert Circle.
Surviving are: her husband of Denmark; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ella Floyd of Vincennes, Ind.; a son, William Morris Ashcraft Jr. of Columbia; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Roberge of Charleston, Mrs. Pauline Fanning of Laurens and Mrs. Elizabeth Godfrey of North Augusta; two brothers, Wilbur P. Abercrombie of Laurens and James William Abercrombie of Belle Gardens, Calif. and six grandchildren.
