William J. Lamontagne, 91, of Berlin NH, passed away on Sept. 17, 2007, at the St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare Center in Berlin. He was born in Berlin on Sept. 22, 1915, the son of Emile and Emma (Beaulac) Lamontagne, and was a lifelong resident. He had been employed as a pipe fitter by Brown Company and was a member of the United Paperworkers International, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and VFW Post #2520 in Berlin. He was a member of St. Anne Church.

Members of the family include his wife Violet (Pigeon) Lamontagne of Berlin; sons Richard Lamontagne and wife Sharon of Cumberland RI, and Rene Lamontagne and his Priscilla of Goffstown NH; grandchildren Shelly Beck of Greenfield MA, Wendy Campbell of Danbury CT, Stacy St. Cyr of Scituate RI, Jodi Lamontagne of Cumberland RI, Michael Lamontagne of Huntersville NC, Michele Strout of Manchester NH, and Matthew Lamontagne of Goffstown NH; great-grandchildren Colman Lee and Felix Beck of Greenfield MA, Jasmine Lamontagne and Jonathan Lamontagne of Huntersville NC, and Ava Strout of Manchester NH; and brother Leo Lamontagne.

He was predeceased by sisters Alice King and Yvonne Johnson and brothers Alphonse Lamontagne, Lucien Lamontagne, and Albert Lamontagne.
