John, the son of Samuel and Maxey E. Ware Lane. Came to SW Missouri around 1880 with his parents. Married Mary Elizabeth Jones, 1/21/1886 in Saratoga Springs, McDonald County, Missouri. John was a farmer around the Mannford area. John and Mary had 5 children, Lula, Roberta "Robbie", Iva, Rose and Beulah. Both Rose and Beulah apparently died in early childhood. Death date for John cannot be confirmed. John appears on the 1910 census, however, there is no further records. It is presumed he is buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Mannford, Creek County, Oklahoma. John Lane is listed as owner of 6 spaces in "Block 1, Lot 110". There are 5 people listed as buried there, this is his daughters, Robbie & Iva and their families. In the records there is an "X" through the 6th lot.
