NEWPORT: V. Natalie Whitekettle, 79, of Newport, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the Carlisle Hospital. She was born November 10, 1932 to the late John and Vivian (Jamison) Cox. She had retired from Penn DOT and was a member of the Newport First Church of God. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and traveling. Natalie was the widow of Mervin E. Whitekettle and is survived by her children; Brad Whitekettle, Cathy Whitekettle and Angela Howell; brothers, Park, John Jr. and Kevin Cox; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Doris Whitekettle and brother, Ronald Cox.
Family and friends are invited to services from the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with a viewing Friday, September 7, from 6-7 PM and on Saturday from 10-11AM with the funeral to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be in the Newport Cemetery.
