THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 02/15/1934
Zimmer, Alene (7 FEB 1934)
Rev. F.H. Sprengler, pastor of the Thorp Lutheran Church, officiated at a very pretty ceremony last Wednesday afternoon when he joined in holy wedlock, Mr. Bert Eberts of the town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Alene Zimmer, daughter of Mrs. John Zimmer of the town of Reseburg (Clark Co.). The wedding took place before immediate relatives at the home of the bride's mother.
The young couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Chester Glasshof of this village. The bride was attired in a gown of lemon green. She wore brown accessories and carried a bouquet of Talisman roses. Mrs. Glasshof, as matron of honor, wore a dark shade of green crepe and a corsage of roses.
After the ceremony an informal reception was held and covers laid for eighteen at a six o'clock dinner at the Zimmer home.
The bride is a young lady of refinement and is highly esteemed in this community, having been a graduate of the Thorp High School. The groom is well known in Owen and the town of Hixon, where he has operated a farm for his mother for several years past, also being employed throughout the county as painter and decorator.
Mr. and Mrs. Eberts will be at home at their farm four miles north of Owen, and their many friends join in wishing them many years of happy wedded bliss.
