Leander was born in Italy, son of the late Edward and Ernestine (Boveri) Arrighini and had lived in Windsor Locks most of his life.
He had been employed at Pratt & Whitney for over 30 years before his retirement 29 years ago. He was a communicant of St. Mary Church and had been active in the Senior Citizens Club.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edmond and Janice Arrighini of Enfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Rosalee and Edward Flynn of Windsor Locks; six grandchildren, Lisa Pequita and her husband, Stephen of Windsor Locks, David Arrighini and his wife, Corinne of Sudbury, MA, Christine Arrighini of Enfield, Patrick Flynn and his wife, Kimberly of Fairfield, Michael Flynn and his wife, Krista of Norwalk and Elizabeth Flynn of Newington; and two great grandchildren, James Paul Pequita and Emma Frances Arrighini.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather Wednesday, Jan. 23, 11:30 a.m., at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, for a procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. His family will receive friends Wednesday morning, 10-11:30 a.m., at the funeral home.
