Carl Broughton, 68, widower of Alice Barnett Broughton, passed away August 27, 2012, in Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
He was born November 15, 1943, in Ashland, to Laura Qualls Broughton Bennett of Paris and the late James Broughton Sr.
He was a member of Silas Baptist Church and retired from Clark Equipment and Paris Manufacturing.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, James M. Broughton Jr.
He is also survived by children Teresa Ann Pollock of Lebanon, Ohio, Cheryl Lynn Spencer of West Portsmouth, Ohio, and Brian (Sarah) Broughton of Tishomingo, Miss., step-daughters, Dianne (L.G.) Dawson of Scott County and Delores (Gary) Palmer of Cynthiana, twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a brother, Wayne Broughton of Columbus, Ohio, sisters, Laura June (Boyd) Ison of Paris and Carolyn Clark of Columbus, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown, by the Rev. Curtis Coots and Chaplain David Holden. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.
Visitation will be after noon Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Doug Dawson, Ray Gregory, Danny Ison, Dewayne Ison, Dewayne Ison, Mark Ison and Brent Alan Collins.
Honorary pallbearers will be: L.G. Dawson, Boyd Ison, Brian Keith Broughton, Wayne Broughton, Calvin King, Jimmy Pollock and J.D. Daisy.
