Born in Baileyton, Tenn., he had resided in the Church Hill and Kingsport areas since 1933. He attended Victory Baptist Church, and was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delma Griffith Bailey and a son, Cecil Bailey.
Surviving are one daughter, Irene Lane, Ohio; two sons, Charles Bailey and Roy Bailey, both of Kingsport; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cora Early, Kingsport and Lee Carmichael, Greeneville; one brother, Charlie Bailey, Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Herman Anderson and the Rev. Lester Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
