Lorraine, J. Heisey, 82, of Maytown, died peacefully, Monday August 20, 2012 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. She was the wife of the late Charles C. Heisey who in died in 2009. Born in Elstonville, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin W. and Minnie (Hoffer) Smith. She enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, and walking, but her greatest love was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Lorraine was active with the Maytown Historical Society. In her earlier years she attended St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Mount Joy and in her later years she attended St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Maytown.

Surviving is a son Gary husband of Janice (Nixon) Heisey of Asheville, NC; two grandchildren Alexander and Emma Heisey; four sisters Ruth Forry, Darlene Lamberson, Shirley Morrison, Helen Rhoads; and five brothers Hoffer K., James R., Wayne G., Eugene, and Robert Smith.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son Jerry Heisey, and two brothers Jay and Ben Smith.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 11 N. Queen St. Maytown, on Saturday September 1, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in Mastersonville Brethren in Christ Cemetery. There will be a public viewing on Saturday at the church from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
