Mrs. Minnie H. Smith, 81, of the Pleasant View Rest Home, Manheim, R5, died at 3:10 p.m. Saturday at the home, following a lengthy illness.
She was a guest at the home for seven and one-half years and formerly resided at 280 S. Penn St., Manheim. She was the widow of Benjamin W. Smith, who died in 1974. She was born in Rapho Township, a daughter of the late Emanuel and Emma Hosler Hoffer.
Surviving are 11 children: Ruth E., wife of Albert R. Forry, Wrightsville R1; Hoffer K. Smith, Elizabethtown R3; Darlene H., wife of E.C. Lamberson, Millsboro, Del.; Lorraine J., wife of Charles C. Heisey, Maytown; J.W. Smith, Benjamin Smith Jr., Irvin E. Smith and James R. Smith, all of Manheim; Helen J., wife of Samuel E. Rhoads, Cincinatus, N.Y.; Shirley M., wife of Richard C. Brown, Millersville R1; Robert L. Smith, Manheim R2; Wayne G. Smith, Lancaster; 36 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Arthur H. Hoffer, Manheim R3. [Lancaster New Era, Lancaster, PA]

SMITH — Entered into rest in Penn Township on January 2, 1982. MINNIE H. SMITH, wife of the late Benjamin W. Smith, of the Pleasant View Rest Home, Manheim RD5, Pa., in her 82nd year.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, Pa., on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard C. Yoder officiating. Interment in Mastersonville Brethren in Christ Cemetery. There will be no viewing on Monday evening. Friends may call at the Buch Funeral Home on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
