Military funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon over the remains of Lester W. Archer, 31, World War I veteran, and an employee of the Nickel Plate Railroad. Mr. Archer died at the McKitrick Hospital after a short illness of diabetis. Kenton Ohio's Legion Post conducted its ritualistic services while the Rev. Robert Allbaugh of Spencerville delivered the funeral sermon in the First Baptist Church.
The deceased was a life resident of Kenton and affiliated with the Church of Christ, Moose Lodge, and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen. The widow, a daughter, the parents, three sisters and two brothers; one of whom, Delmar Archer, lives in Lima, Ohio survive.
