Franklinville Lad Who Won Prominence in Buffalo Legal Circles Is Deeply Mourned".
Franklinville-- Dana L. Spring, prominent lawyer of Buffaloand former resident of Franklinville passed away Friday at his home at 43 Argyle Park, at the age of 53. He had been in ill health for several months but on the day of his death had spent the morning at the office of his firm, Ward, Flynn, Spring and Tillou of which former Attorney General Hamilton Ward is the senior member. He and Mrs. Spring were planning to go to their summer camp in the Zoar Valley that afternoon but he was stricken just before they were ready to start.

The funeral was held in buffalo Sunday. Burial was at Mt. Prospect cemetery, Franklinville, where the services at the grave were largely attended by a host of friends and members of the county bar.

Dana L. Spring was born in Franklinville August 11, 1879 the only son of the late Supreme Court Justice Alfred Spring and Anna T. Spring. he is survived by his wife Shirley Tilden Spring, his mother, who resides here and two sisters, Mrs John H. Evans, Buffalo, and Mrs. E. R. Case, East Aurora.

The death of Dana L. Spring brought a deep sense of sorrow to this community where he was well known, highly esteemed and sincerely loved by all who knew him intimately. In the prime of his life and with brightest of prospects ahead of him his death seemed untimely. As one local friend put it, " he was a man who for the sake of society should have outlived the most of us." Such a tribute is the measure of the man.
