BESSENT - Funeral services for Adolphus "Junior" Bessent, 61, who died Tuesday June 3, 1997, will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in George H. Hewell and Son Northside Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Griffis officiating. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday (Today) from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Bessent was a native of Jacksonville, FL. and a life long resident. He is survived by; his wife of 40 years, Margaret Bessent; 3 daughters, Marilee Dyches (Wayne), Bobbie Lynn Singletary (Dalton), and Natalie Easterling; a son, James Adolphus Bessent, Sr. (April); 3 sisters, Juanita Catlett (Aldwyn), Evelyn Drury (Bob), and Lavohn Crews (Marvin); 2 brothers, Hershel Bessent (Anita) and Edward Bessent (Vivian); 9 grandchildren; a dear friend, Clyde Strickland and many loving friends and relatives.
Serving as active Pall Bearers; Dalton Singletary, Wayne Dyches, Kristopher Bessent, Robbie Register, Larry Bessent and Jeff Bessent; Alternate Pall Bearers will be Hershel and Edward Bessent.
