Ted Perry Davis,85,of Raven Virginia passed away Sunday April 11 2004 at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Buchanan County Virginia and was a son of the late Thomas Perry and Mary Elizabeth Webb Davis.
He was a retired coal operator.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son--Alfred Davis.
Three brothers--Joseph Henry Joe Davis,Sr.--John Lawrence Davis and Sam Davis.
Seven sisters--Virgie Davis Ball--Nannie Davis Mosley Elswick Smith--Alvia Davis Keen--Sallie Davis Stilwell--Maude Davis--Josie Davis Boyd and Eula Davis.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years--Ocie Sisk Davis.
Four daughters--Jerlene Davis Matney and husband Carless of Rt-1 Raven Virginia--Nancy Davis Rose of Rt-1 Raven Virginia--Patsy Davis Cline and husband Melvin of Rt-1 Raven Virginia and Monell Davis Breedlove and husband Lawrence of Cedar Bluff Virginia.
One son--Lloyd Davis and wife Rita Cline Davis of Pounding Mill Virginia.
Seven grandchildren--Leo Matney--Richard Rose--Tessie Vandyke--Cindy Cline--Lora Osborn--Julie Shelton and T.J. Davis.
Two great-grandchildren--Ali Smith and Dillon Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted at two Wednesday April 14 2004 at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel in Keen Mtn Virginia with Rev. Carl Ball and Rev. Eddie Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in the Davis Cemetery near Shortt Gap Virginia.
