Jessie Andrew Barnes was born to William Carrol Barnes and Mary Jane (Moore) Barnes on Feb. 11, 1904 and died Dec. 22, 1958.
He and Edna Jane (smith) were married Nov. 6, 1926. To this union were born four children: John William "Jack" Barnes, Betty Jo (Barnes) Copeland, Lucille (Barnes) Jones and Rosie Mae (Barnes) Cantwell.
Part of jess's life he was a policeman and they lived in several towns though out Oklahoma.
Jess had three brothers: Ira Martin Barnes, W.C. "Bill" Barnes and Dempsey B. Barnes; and two sisters: Myrtle (Barnes) Blankenship and Iola (Barnes) Blankenship.
