He and Edna Jane (smith) were married Nov. 6, 1926. To this union were born four children: John William "Jack" Barnes, Betty Jo (Barnes) Copeland, Lucille (Barnes) Jones and Rosie Mae (Barnes) Cantwell.
Part of jess's life he was a policeman and they lived in several towns though out Oklahoma.
Jess had three brothers: Ira Martin Barnes, W.C. "Bill" Barnes and Dempsey B. Barnes; and two sisters: Myrtle (Barnes) Blankenship and Iola (Barnes) Blankenship.
Note: There is a newspaper clipping of Jessie's mother Mary Jane Barnes' obituary that incorrectly says that her husband and Jessie's father was J. W. Barnes and that he was buried in Simon Cemetery.
This is some kind of mix up when the obituary was written according to some of the family of William Carrol Barnes and Mary Jane Barnes.
