Mrs. Samuel Davidson, pioneer and highly esteemed resident of this vicinity, died at 10 o'clock this morning at her home near Divernon. Mrs. Davison was born October 16, 1831, in Sangamon county, and has lived in Sangamon county continuously. She was the daughter of John and Ann Nuckolls, who were natives of Virginia. In 1850, she was united in marriage to Samuel Davidson, and to this union nine children were born, four of whom survive. Mrs. Davidson had been married 62 years at the time of her husband's death several years ago.

Besides a large circle of friends, she leaves to mourn her loss four children, George, Jeff, Etta and Marie, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon from the residence. Burial will be made in Cumberland cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Samuel Davidson will be held this afternoon at the family residence in Divernon. Interment will be made at Old Cumberland cemetery.
