William Bill Adams, 70, of Amarillo died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.

Mr. Adams was born in Jackson County, Colorado. He grew up in Toyah, and in Grand Falls. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1954 and served in Vietnam. He was a decorated war veteran, having earned the Bronze star with V- device for valor and three purple hearts. He retired from the military in 1974.

Most recently, he worked as a security guard for Lone Wolf Security.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Adams Williams, in 2002; and three brothers.

Survivors include a daughter, Terri Adams of Amarillo; a son, Travis Adams; a grandson, Nicholas Adams; two sisters, Loretta Kelldorf and husband Bill of Tyler, and Betty Hinz of Clinton, Okla.; three brothers, Gerald Adams and wife Cecile of Sarasota, Fla., Alvin Adams and wife Lois of Weatherford, Okla., and Dr. Jerome M. Adams and wife Irene of Burkburnett.
