Gerald G. (Red) Dunmyer, 63, Chester, Va., formerly of Somerset, died Jan. 6, 1985, at Henrico Doctor's Hospital, Richmond, Va. Born Dec. 13, 1921, in Milford Township, son of the late Walter G. and Rosie A. (Pletcher) Dunmyer. Preceded in death by two brothers: Elwood and Walter. Survived by his wife of 41 years, the former Frances (Peggy) Humbert; three daughters: Bonnie Mitchell, Somerset; Mrs. Elwood (Karen) Swank, Rockwood; Mrs. Alan (Teri) Foster, Harrisburg; and four grandchildren. Brother of: Mrs. Lloyd (Mildred) Berkey, Rockwood RD 1; Mrs. Samuel (Melba) Cook, Revenna, Ohio; Mrs. Fred (Betty) Shaffer, Somerset. World War II veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Employed by Clark Lift Equipment Co. of Richmond, Va., as a mechanic. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Roger Forry officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, New Centerville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association Western Pa. Affiliate, 4617 Winthrop St., Pittsburgh, Pa.
