LORETTA HIGGS PETTY, 48, of Saulsbury, Tenn., a native of Memphis, a social worker at Western Mental Health Institute in Bolivar, Tenn., died Tuesday of apparent complications from pneumonia at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Home in Bolivar with burial in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery. She was a Methodist. Mrs. Petty, the widow of Gary Lynn Petty, leaves her parents, Calvin and Louise Jones Higgs of Germantown, and two brothers, George Franklin Higgs and Calvin T. Higgs Jr., both of Cordova.
