Roberta Mae Boggs, 83, of Rochester, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at her home.
Roberta was born on June 18, 1929, in Springfield, IL the daughater of Glen and Fern (Baker) Gideon. She married Harland Boggs on November 5, 1950 in Edinburg, IL and he preceded her in death June 17, 2006
Roberta was a homemaker and also worked at J. C. Penneys for 26 years.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Harland Eugene, Terry, and Rick Boggs; her brother, Don Gideon, and one grandchild.
She is survived by her three sons, Glenn Boggs (Penny) of Manitou, Jeffery Boggs of Edinburg, and Steven (Judith) Boggs of Rochester; thirteen grandchildren and 12 great –grandchildren; brother, Robert Gideon (Lucy) of Roby; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Boggs of Riverton; sister-in-laws, Beverly Gideon of Mt. Auburn, Ethel Bowen of Waverly and Rebecca Boggs of Virden; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 26, from 4:00 P. M. until time of memorial services at 6:00 P. M. at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Reverend Terry Link will be officiating with burial following in Rochester Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
