Mr. Boggs formerly worked for 10 years as an engineer technician at Auby, Oglesby and Bartolomucci Consulting Engineers. He was a member of Calvary Temple Christian Center. He graduated from Rochester High School and Lincoln Land Community College and attended the University of Georgia. He also was a member of the U.S. Army, serving as a sergeant during the Vietnam War. He received the Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze service star, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with palm and Marksman (rifle) Badge. He loved God and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie June Boggs of Spaulding; two daughters, Ellen Jane (Michael Jr.) Meyer of Springfield and Julie Christine (Theodore James) Riech of Riverton; 10 grandchildren; mother, Roberta Boggs of Rochester; four brothers, Terry and Glenn Boggs, both of Manito, Jeffery Boggs of Edinburg and Steven (Jude) Boggs of Rochester; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and a great-niece.
Services at Stabb Funeral Home, the Rev. Paul Rose officiating. Burial in Camp Butler National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted.
