Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie Bet Harden, 65 years of age, were held Sunday, March 14, at 2:30 o'clock p.m. from the Elkhorn Methodist Church with Rev. O. S. Houk in charge assisted by Rev. R. S. Glidewell. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Harden died at her home near Elkhorn, Saturday, March 13. She had been in declining health for the past several months. She professed faith in Christ at an early age in life and was a member of the Elkhorn Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Lacy Harden December 24, 1903, he preceded her September 2, 1943. To this union 2 daughters were born: Mrs. Thomas Benningfield and Miss Estella Harden, both preceded her in death the same week in February, 1926. She is survived by one granddaughter, Miss Elsie Benningfield, and many other relatives and friends. The pallbearers were: Arnett Antle, Bud Dudgeon, Ira Wise, B. B. Benningfield, Bert McWhorter, and Joe Murrah.
