Son of Sidney Murrah and Sarah Ann Sparks, brother of Elizabeth, Edwin, Mary, Joseph, William, and James.

His wife's name is Gertrude Potts.

He is the father of Sallie Bet (Murrah) Harden, and Lillian C (Murrah) Allen, and one other girl.

THE ADAIR COUNTY NEWS, Wednesday, 17 Apr 1901

Victim of Consumption – Mr. Thos. MURRAH, who resided at Cane Valley, this county, died with pulmonary trouble on Tuesday, the 9th of this month.

He was about forty-eight years old and was born and reared in Adair. For several years he had been running a team between Columbia and Campbellsville, and was well known to all the people along the line. He leaves a wife and family of children. The remains were interred at Cane Valley, many friends attending the last rites.

A volunteer searched Cane Valley Cemetery and could not find him. I am leaving him in this cemetery until I find out he is buried somewhere else.
