She was born August 25, 1927 in Balkan, Ky., a daughter of the late Alva and Grace Bowens Griffith.
She was a woman of steadfast faith and virtue and a member of the Whipple Missionary Baptist Church for 66 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband of 52 years Floyd Wilson, 7 brothers, Stealie (Mae), D.H. (Faye), Ova (Eva), William, Randall, Vermont Griffith, 2 sisters Jesse Randhahn, Beatrice (Clayton) Dalrymple.
Survivors include her daughter Margaret Ann Wilson of Balkan, KY
Grandson Aaron Nathan (Tawanna) Frye of Devil's Garden, Ky
Granddaughter Brandy Nicole (Eric) Miracle of Miracle, KY
One brother Clarence Edward (June) Griffith of Corbin, Ky.
Great Grandchildren: Savannah, Sawyer and Hudson Frye, Ivy Miracle
Honorary Daughter: Tammy Mayes
Special Friend: Sharon Engle
And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and her Church Family.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the Nurses and Staff of Hospice of the Bluegrass Mountain Heritage for all of their care.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, at the Whipple Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Gibbons, Rev. David Miracle and Rev. Ronnie Hoskins presiding.
Music will be provided by June Griffith, Zelma Hunley and Lola Brock.
Interment will follow in the Mathel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, at the Creech Funeral Home.
