Alejandro "Alex" Baca, age 79, a lifelong resident of Peralta, NM, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 13, 2002.
Alex was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta.
Alex worked for Bates Lumber as a supervisor, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Alex was a sincere, compassionate, caring brother and uncle, living his life with the highest of integrity.
Alex was preceded in death by his parents, Jacobo and Prajedes Baca, his brothers and sisters, Henry, Emma, Adelina, Lalo, Jesús, Jacob and Delfina Baca.
Alex is survived by his sister, Helen Baca of the family home in Peralta, two brothers, Carlos and his wife, Inez of Bernalillo, NM and Leandro and his wife, Carmen of Albuquerque and one very pecial friend of 30 years, Cleo Elliott of Los Lunas. Also, surviving Alex are his many loving nieces, nephews, and Godchild.
A Viewing will be held on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home with a Wake following at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta. Interment will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Peralta, Aaron Peralta, Gerald Garley, Robert Strain, Leo Baca and Carlos Baca Jr.
