Anson G. Mentzer
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the J.R. Shulenberger funeral home, Carlisle, for Anson G. Mentzer, Newville R. R. 3, who died Sunday morning at the home of his son, Lester Mentzer, West Pennsboro township, with whom he resided. The Rev. Franz A. Lundahl officiated and burial was made in the mausoleum in Westminster cemetery (sic).
Mr. Mentzer was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and of the White Circle club, both of Carlisle.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George Brownawell, Carlisle R. R. 4; two sons, Lester, with whom he made his home, and Herman Mentzer, Carlisle R. R. 1; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandhildren, and a sister, Mrs. George A. Derick, Shippensburg.
